The Story Behind Providence: Man's Fall

Upon first receiving the inspiration of this collection I was so awestruck as I got to see over and over again how God keeps pursuing us. But He only has to pursue because we walk away. We get disinterested, distracted, discouraged and need help finding our way back.
This year marks my third opportunity to read through the Bible chronologically with friends and family and what I've gotten to see in as I scratch the surface is how deeply loved I am. So much so that the creator of the universe wants to walk with me in all my days in all the things. But even in knowing that sometimes I squirrel brain away and become more enamored by other shiny objects. Yet still He waits and pursues.
Recognizing that once Adam and Eve found themselves "lacking" in their understanding and now brought to "wisdom" that they were naked instead of coming to God they tried to "fix it" themselves. How often do we just keep digging the hole thinking we can repair the damage ourselves with God ever "finding out" what we did?! Yet He calls out and asks us where we are and who told us we were lacking, all the while knowing the answers Himself. He gives us a chance to come clean but instead we stick out the lie.
Cover ourselves with something that will continue to wither away and be insufficient for us because we think we can do it alone. Yet He steps in and reminds us of His sovereignty. The fig leaves were just the beginning, thank God they weren't the ending!
